General Information

Below you will find some important information:

On-line Registration

All employees, vendors, preservice educators, health science students, volunteers, mentors, outside researchers, etc…must utilize the on-line registration process to begin the background screening and badging services.

The applicant will set an appointment date/time during their enrollment. All applicants should come to the appointment on time and bring the acceptable identification. If the applicant does not bring two valid, unexpired, acceptable forms of ID, their appointment cannot be completed. The name provided for the appointment must match both forms of identification and the date of birth must be on the primary form of ID, and must match exactly.

Fieldprint Codes

Fieldprint uses a unique code (known as a Fieldprint code) to properly guide the applicant through the fingerprinting and badging registration process. Some important facts you need to know about Broward County Public School’s Fieldprint codes:

  • Fieldprint codes are issued for specific purposes and should not be shared
  • If someone uses an incorrect Fieldprint code, the fingerprinting and/or badging transaction will not be properly routed for Broward County School’s staff to take action.
  • Fieldprint codes are provided to new Broward County Public School employee’s during the onboarding process by Talent Acquisitions and Operations

This identification is issued to a non-instructional contractor who is permitted access to school grounds when students are present, whose performance of the contract with the school or school board is not anticipated to result in direct contact with students, and for whom any unanticipated contact would be infrequent and incidental. Persons eligible to receive the uniform statewide identification badge are identified in Section 1012.467, Florida Statutes. The uniform statewide identification badge is valid for 5 years. However, upon initial issuance, the expiration will reflect the 5th anniversary of the date your fingerprint was retained in the Florida Shared School Results (FSSR) system.

The identification can only be issued if the individual:

    1. Is a resident and citizen of the United States or a permanent resident alien of the United States as determined by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.

In order for BCPS to determine if this requirement has been satisfied, the following process has been established:

    • A representative from the non-instructional contractor’s company will complete an affidavit that attests the non-instructional contractor meets the requirements. The affidavit will be kept on file.
    • The contractor’s representative will provide a physical copy of a completed I-9 for each of their employees. The completed I-9(s) will be kept on file.
    • If an individual is not able to provide a copy of the I-9, for any reason, specific identification will be required. The required documents are listed on the last page of the document located at: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-9.pdf. All documents will be kept on file.

  22. What do I do if my badge is lost or damaged?

If your badge is lost or stolen you will need to register again to obtain a new badge. You will need to check with your employer or call Security Clearance at 754-321-2374 for the appropriate Fieldprint code to register with.
